Description
The mastermind behind the colonization of Viridis Primus, the colony’s administrator Jade Washington is a force to be reckoned with. Direct and driven, Jade enjoys the company of likeminded people. Laziness or ineptitude is sure to land you on her bad side. Her motives are a mystery, but it is obvious that she is determined to make this endeavor succeed no matter the cost.

Jade Washington is the Planetary Pioneer Administrator for Viridis Primus. She lives in the Administration Building southwest of Player's Home. She's very professional, and doesn't like to speak about herself or her family. Her attitude starts to soften towards the player when befriend her, but she suffers from stress and pressure of her post. Jade is one of the twelve characters available to marry and is willing to be in a polyamorous relationship.

First contact[ | ]

After meeting Rosie Martínez and completing the This Pun Is Scrap achievement, Rosie and the player will visit the Administration Building to meet Jade. When they walk in, the following conversation will be had:

Dialogue:
  • Rosie: Welcome to the administration building. Up here is the storage room. I guess it will be doubling as your room until we can figure something else out. Hey! I found [Player Name]. They're okay!
  • Jade: Rosie, what have I told you about yelling?!
  • Rosie: I better go talk to her. Since you'll be sleeping here tonight, why don't you take a quick look around? Just follow this hall down to the office once you've checked out your room. Oh, but please don't touch anything.

At this point, Rosie walks into the Office of the Administration Building, where she can be seen standing across the desk from Jade. Talking to either of them continues the conversation:

  • Jade: Hello, [Player Name]. I am Administrator Washington. You may call me Jade. I am responsible for the day to day administration of this colony.

Jade's description will then display.

  • Jade: I am pleased you are uninjured. Rosie mentioned that you already recovered a piece of scrap from your ship. Please continue to collect any pieces you may find. Eventually you will need to reimburse the company for the damaged craft. — (++ friendship.)
    • Okay.
    • It wasn't my fault!
      • Rosie: ...
      • Jade: Whether it was a malfunction or user error, you signed the contract. It was your responsibility to read each line of the 200 page document to ensure you understood your obligations before signing. — (-1 friendship)
  • Rosie: Don't worry, [Player Name]. It can't be that expensive.
  • Jade: Oh, but it is that expensive. For now, here are some basic tools to get you started. I assume you will be able to ascertain their use.

The player will then be given their basic beginner tier tools: the Dull Axe, the Simple Hammer, the Basic Hoe, the Basic Pick, and the Fishing Spear. The player can click the Awesome! button to continue.

  • Jade: As for communication, you will receive messages via the envelope icon at the bottom of your screen. Get some rest, colonist. Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Relationships[ | ]

Jade was born as Harold Washington III and was the heir to the Planetary Pioneers empire, but at her twenties, she took the necessary steps to become Jade Washington. For that reason, she lost her inheritance. It's not specified but we can assume that's for this reason that she has a very contentious relationship with her family, mostly with her father. He seems to be very hard on Jade, always making her try her best and that's why she treat the player the same way. Later on the game, she will confess the player that her father and the investors are disappointed despite all the progress of the colony.

Her relationship with her mother is also complicated, even so she's really sentimental about the vase in her office, which was a gift from her mother.

According to Jade, her brother Anthony also seems to be really stubborn like their father, so communication between them are complicated when she ask him to come on Viridis Primus to ensure the security of the colony. Even the fact they argue or don't seem to agree the other's attitude, they really love each other and that's why he come to rejoin her.

Small talk[ | ]

Talking with characters outside of job duties can improve the player's relationship with them. Jade can say any of the following when engaging in small talk with her:

Dialogue:

We will never get additional funding if we cannot find something to show for our efforts.

Must we seriously converse on a daily basis, colonist? Between you and Rosie it is a wonder I get any work done at all!

Does everyone think they can spend the whole day loafing about? There is still much to be done. Please get back to work.

Have you tended to your fields today?”

  • I wasn't going to today.
    • You really should reevaluate your priorities, colonist.(-- friendship.)
  • I haven't had the chance.
    • Then do not dally about chatting with me! Get back to work.(No effect on friendship.)
  • You bet!
    • That is wonderful, colonist! Keep up the good work.(++ friendship.)

If you are running low on credits, you need not wait for your crops to grow. You may ship stones and lumber as well.

The birds around here seem to store native seeds in their nests. How fortunate for you! Work smarter, not harder, colonist.

Our next shipment is due soon. I trust you are making progress?

  • A little?
    • You must show more confidence in your abilities. Weakness is an invitation for trouble.(No effect on friendship.)
  • Of course!
    • Fantastic.(+ friendship.)

If you are lacking in tasks to perform, I have some suggestions.

I finished my paperwork early today. Whatever shall I do with the free time?

It is days like these that make me wonder if I have made poor career choices.

May your day be a productive one!

  • Thank you for your contributions to the success of the colony.
  • There is still much to be done. Please maintain your production levels.

  • I hope you are not here to make a requisition request?
  • Now that you mention it...
    • It will unfortunately have to wait. We are currently over budget as it is.
  • Nope!
    • Very good. Carry on.

  • We shape our own fortunes, colonist.
  • What are you willing to do to succeed?

  • You are looking well today!
  • The clean air here is invigorating, is it not?

Relationship progress events[ | ]

When the player is advancing from one stage (heart) in a relationship to the next, it is done so through an event.

First green heart[ | ]

First Green Heart
The player can reach the first green heart by visiting the Administration Building when her relationship bar is full.

Dialogue:

Welcome, [Player Name]. I appreciate all the hard work you have been doing since your arrival on Viridis Primus. I wanted to speak to you about the circumstances regarding your arrival.

  • I'll pay for the pod soon...
  • What circumstances?
    • The destruction of your storage pod, of course.

After some impassioned pleas from Rosie and some serious consideration, I have decided to waive your debt for the destroyed pod. I have spoken to our investors and they understand that accidents do happen and have agreed to absorb the expense.

  • Thank you!
    • I am glad that you understand it was no small feat securing forgiveness for the debt.
  • I'm off the hook!
    • Please do not take this generosity for granted! It was no small feat securing forgiveness for the debt. I still expect you to continue to work diligently.

Well, [Player Name], we both have much work to do. Please let me know if you need anything for your fields. — (+2 friendship.)

  • Will do!
    • Good day.
  • Since you mentioned it...
    • Really, player?! I just forgave a rather large debt and you immediately ask for something else? You could learn a thing or two about business negotiations. Good day. — (-2 friendship.)

Second green heart[ | ]

Second Green Heart
The player can reach the second green heart by visiting the Administration Building when her relationship bar is full and the first green heart has been reached. There's two versions of dialogue for this heart event, depending on if you're productive or lazy.

Dialogue (Productive):

Welcome, [Player Name].

  • That's a lovely vase.
    • Thank you, [Player Name]! I am glad someone else appreciates its value.
  • What's with the pot?
    • It is not a "pot". It is a very valuable vase.
      • Where did you get it?
        • It was a gift from my mother.
      • It doesn't look that valuable.
        • Not all value is monetary, [Player Name]. This item has sentimental value to me. It was a gift from my mother.
          • Are you close?
            • Our relationship is complicated. We... Ahem. I do not make a habit of discussing my personal affairs with my employees. Let us review your progress... [Player Name], I must say I am pleasantly surprised! In all honesty, I did not think your production levels would be nearly as high as they are.
              • What's that supposed to mean?
                • I mean no offense, [Player Name]. You have just exceeded my expectations. Thank you for dedication to the success of this colony. Good day.
              • Thank you!
                • I have nothing left to say aside from keep up the good work! Have a good day, [Player Name].

Dialogue (Lazy):

Hmmm... Well, [Player Name]. I do not know what to say.
              • That good, huh?
                • No, [Player Name]. I'm afraid it is not very good at all.
              • I'm sorry...
                • You have barely shipped anything. Whatever have you been doing with your time? Never mind. It is fruitless to dwell on the past.

Please, redouble your efforts. I am counting on your aid to make this colony a success. Get back to work, [Player Name].

Third green heart[ | ]

Third Green Heart
The player can reach the third green heart by visiting the Administration Building between 11 am and 2 pm, when her relationship bar is full and the second green heart has been reached. If the player speaks to her with a full relationship bar and two green hearts, she will invite them over:

  • The special shipment I requested arrived today. It contained double the food rations I ordered.
  • It would be a shame for the excess to go to waste.
  • Please feel free to join me for lunch sometime. Between 11 am and 2 pm please.

The following event will occur when the player visits her during this time at the Administration Building.

Dialogue:

Welcome, [Player Name]. Do you have time to join me for lunch?

  • Can't stay!
    • Do you really not have the time? Or is it perhaps that you find my company... less than appealing? You have time to stay. I shouldn't push you so hard to meet my deadlines.
  • Yes, thank you!
    • Splendid! I have been meaning to speak to you about something.

I want to apologize for dismissing your inquiry the other day. I like to keep my personal affairs private. That includes my relationship with my family. ... It is an especially senstive topic for me.

  • I'm still mad.
    • I am sorry you feel that way, [Player Name]. Please allow me to make it up to you.
  • I'm sorry...
    • Thank you, [Player Name]. There is no need to discuss it further. Please let us talk about something more pleasant.

Do you enjoy chocolate pudding as much as I do?

  • I don't like chocolate pudding.
    • That is rater unfortunate. I suppose I have something else you might enjoy.
  • Yes!
    • Wonderful!

Please dine with me.

The screen dims, you regain 30 energy and 2 hours passes.

I hope that you enjoyed the meal. Your company has certainly improved my mood today. Rosie mentioned she built you a music box. Please take this disc as a token of our friendship. I look forward to getting to know you better, [Player Name]. Take care. — (Unlocked Music disc for: Jade & With Friends Like These... achievement)

First Blue heart[ | ]

First Blue Heart
The player can reach the first blue heart by visiting the Administration Building when her relationship bar is full and the third green heart has been reached. Stop by her office before 5 pm. This event vary quite a bit depending on what expansions the Player has made.

Dialogue:

Ah, [Player Name]. Thank you for stopping by. Please, walk with me. First we shall take a look to the east. Accompany me to the river.

  • If you have built the Bridge expansion.
    • I see that you have been hard at work! This the bridge gives us access to the Eastern Plains.
  • If you don't have built the Bridge expansion.
    • I see you have yet to complete the bridge to the Eastern Plains. Please complete this bridge as soon as possible. We need access to the lands on the east side of the river.

That access translates to new crop types, and the opportunity for colony expansion. Of course we will not need to expand for a very long time. Perhaps not even within our lifetimes. Let us move on.

The screen dims, and 30 minutes passes.

  • If you have built the Pioneer Plaza expansion.
    • Congratulations on completing the place Pioneer Plaza! You certainly are doing your part to advance the colony.
  • If you don't have built the Pioneer Plaza expansion.
    • It is important that you build Pioneer Plaza. The plaza is a key step in advancing the colony.

Pioneer Plaza is more than just an amenity. It gives us a place to gather for special events to increase morale. One last stop before we head back.

The screen dims, and 30 minutes passes.

  • If you have cleared the way to the Northen Mountains.
    • I see you have already cleared the boulder that was blocking our way to the Northern Mountains! Good work, [Player Name]!
  • If you don't have cleared the way to the Northen Mountains.
    • Hm. You have not yet found a way to clear the boulder that blocks our way to the Northern Mountains. Please make this one of your priorities, [Player Name].

Access to the Northern Mountains gives us access to new crop types and additional mining opportunities. It also reveals quite a breathtaking view. Back to the Administration Building. Do try to keep up.

The screen dims, and 30 minutes passes.

  • Build none.
    • Sometimes I wonder if you are taking your duties too lightly, [Player Name]. To have been on Viridis Primus this long and have no colony improvements to show for it. It is as if you have no concern for our progress... or how it makes me look to our investors.
      • I do care!
        • Thank you. That means a lot to me. I know you are trying. It is no easy task colonizing an alien world. Please prioritize completing the colony improvements. (+2 friendship.)
      • I really don't.
        • I am at a loss for words, [Player Name]. I did not think this colony... or I meant so little to you. I suppose no amount of scolding or pleading will change your priorities. (-5 friendship.)
  • Build 1 or 2.
    • I am pleased at your progress thus far, [Player Name]! I must admit that I had my doubts if you would be able to complete any of the improvements.
      • You always underestimate me!
        • You may be correct. You have noticed one of my shortcomings. I am often slow to give praise, and quick to give criticism. Please forgive me. I will try harder in the future to give credit where it is due.
      • I surprised myself!
        • Oh, [Player Name]! Do not underestimate your potential! I see you accomplishing great things.
  • Build all.
    • I must say that I am pleasantly surprised, [Player Name]. You have exceeded all my expectations! I did not expect you to have but one or two of the improvements completed. Yet here you finished them all! (+5 friendship.)

That is all for now, [Player Name]. We shall see one another again soon.

Second Blue heart[ | ]

Second Blue Heart
The player can reach the second blue heart by visiting the Administration Building when her relationship bar is full and the first blue heart has been reached. It's a continuation of the First Blue Heart Event about the expansions of the town.

Dialogue:

Good to see you again, [Player Name]. Come in. Please join me for a glass of wine.

  • I don't drink alcohol.
    • Of course. Please help yourself to anything I have in the refrigerator.
  • Don't mind if I do.
    • There is plenty more where this bottle came from, so please help yourself to another glass at any point.
  • Sure, but isn't it a bit early?
    • It is never too early for a good vintage!

Please make yourself comfortable. I have something I would like to discuss.

  • Build none.
    • When we went on our walk, I pointed out the benefits of improvements for the colony. I recently took a stroll through the colony and noticed that you have not made any progress since our walk. [Player Name]. What can I possibly do to convey to you the importance of these renovations?
      • If you answered that you don't care. (Unknown dialogue)
        • I know you have expressed a lack of concern on how this lack of growth impacts the colony... and my reputation. However, these improvements will benefit you as well.
    • I am not above begging. Please make your best attempt to complete the improvements I showed you.
  • Build some.
    • When we went on our walk, I pointed out the benefits of improvements for the colony. I went for a little stroll earlier and see that you have made some progress! There is still some work to be done, but I appreciate your efforts up to this point!
  • Build all.
    • When we went on our walk, I pointed out the benefits of improvements for the colony. I really appreciate that you have made such an effort to improve our little colony!

I know that I have been very hard on you, [Player Name]. I regret that I have taken my insecurities out on you. This colony's success means more to me than mere monetary profit. I have something to prove, not only to myself, but to someone very important to me.

  • That's no excuse.
    • You are absolutely right, [Player Name]. I am very sorry for my behavior.
  • Who?
    • As you may have noticed from our previous discussions, I have a very contentious relationship with my family. My father in particular is very difficult to deal with. When I think of the dynamic of my relationship with him, I cannot help but understand your resentment towards me. I treat you much like my father treats me. When you succeed, I often fail to compliment or thank you.

Nothing you do is ever good enough for me. ... I apologize for dragging you through my introspection.

  • It's okay.
    • I have taken up far too much of your time. Thank you for your company and kindness. Until we meet again, [Player Name].
  • I have to go...
    • Of course, of course.

Third Blue heart[ | ]

Third Blue Heart
The player can reach the third blue heart by visiting the Administration Building between 6 pm and 10 pm when her relationship bar is full and the second blue heart has been reached. It's a continuation of the Third Green Heart Event.

Dialogue:

Do you know one of the advantages of being on good terms with your colony administrator?

  • Free stuff?
    • I hope you are not taking advantage of me! However, you are absolutely correct!
  • No idea.
    • I ordered extra rations so that I could prepare a meal for us.

If you answered that you love chocolate. (Unknown dialogue)

  • As someone who enjoys chocolate pudding as much as I do, you must be heartbroken that there is no cocoa equivalent on Viridis Primus. Do not worry. I always have some pudding on hand, and my friends are always welcome to join me for a treat! As much as I would love to eat dessert first, I have worked very hard to prepare this meal.

I stuffed and fried each of these samosas by hand. I hope that you enjoy them!

The screen dims, and 2 hours passes.

You continue to surprise me with your wit and charm, [Player Name]. I hope that you enjoyed the meal. Please take the recipe I used so that you may enjoy samosas whenever you like. — (Unlocked Samosas recipe)

Thank you for your patience with me. I know I can be difficult to warm up to. I consider you a close friend, [Player Name]. I would like to be closer. ... Perhaps I have had a little too much wine.

  • If the player is single:
    • There is something I wish to share with you. However, I must request you promise to keep it between us.
      • You can trust me.
        • I know, [Player Name]. It is just reassuring to hear you say it.
      • I'm not good with secrets.
        • Oh. ... It is important that I explain this to you. I shall just take the risk and hope for the best.
    • As you may have noticed, I am not the type of woman to dance around the truth. I was born Harold Washington III, heir to the Planetary Pioneers empire. When I was in my twenties I took the necessary steps to become Jade Washington and lost my inheritance.
      • I'm sorry...
    • Please do not pity me. Despite the loss of my position, I have never regretted my decision. Not a single day of my life. I am not ashamed of who I am, [Player Name]. I am however, acutely aware of the dangers associated with failing to disclose this information to you prior to pursuing a relationship.
      • A relationship?
    • Why yes, [Player Name]. If it was unclear, I am interested in a relationship with you. It has been quite some time since I have dated, so I apologize if I have been... less than obvious. Though I do not intend on dating anyone else. I would not require you to pledge the same. Does that arrangement sound at all interesting to you?
      • I'm not interested in you like that.
        • I understand, [Player Name]. It is probably best we not mix work with pleasure. I do not know what I was thinking. I trust that you will not disclose the information I shared with you today. Though I am unashamed, I prefer not share my personal life with just anyone. I hope you enjoyed the meal. I must be getting back to work. Goodnight.
      • I would like to date you.
        • I am pleased you feel as I do! Do not think that this changes our professional relationship. I still expect you to meet your quotas. In fact, you had better get some rest. Goodnight, [Player Name].
  • If the player is already dating someone:
    • Too bad you are already spoken for, [Player Name]. Please let me know if that ever changes. Now, I must send you on your way before I say something I will truly regret! Goodnight.

First Red heart[ | ]

First Red Heart
The player can reach the first red heart by visiting the Administration Building when her relationship bar is full, the third blue heart has been reached and dating Jade. It's a continuation of the Second Blue Heart Event.

Dialogue:

It is a relief to see your face!

  • If you answered that you don't drink alcohol (Unknown dialogue)
    • I know you do not imbibe, but I am going to open this bottle of wine for myself.
  • If you answered that you drink alcohol (Unknown dialogue)
    • I hope you do not mind, but I could use a glass of wine... or two.

It has been an extremely stressful day.

  • Please don't...
    • Excuse me?
      • I'm worried about you.
        • Worried?
      • You don't need it.
        • You would dare to tell me what I need?
    • Do you believe I drink too much?
      • Yes.
        • I cannot believe you would ... ... I am sorry, [Player Name]. You are right. I am not very good at dealing with stress. Forgive me for lashing out. I am unaccustomed to people caring for my wellbeing. I will not drink today. Will you stay for a bit?
          • Of course.
            • Thank you for not abandoning me. I really do not want to be alone right now. Tensions are high with the investors and my father. They are disappointed, despite all of our progress. But I would like to forget all of that. Right now, I just want to be with you. Please distract me with your amazing wit and charm.
            • The screen dims, and 1 hour passes.
            • You always make me feel so much better, [Player Name]. Thank you. I have kept you for far too long again. Goodbye, [Player Name]. Thank you for being here for me... Especially when I try to push you away.
          • I need to go.
            • Of course. I understand.
      • Forget it.
        • Yes, that is a wonderful idea. Let us just forget it! Sometimes I do not understand you, [Player Name]. I have enough to worry about without you judging me. Perhaps you should just leave. (The scene ends.)
  • If you must.
    • If I must? Am I missing something?
      • I'm worried about you.
        • Worried?
      • You don't need it.
        • You would dare to tell me what I need?
    • Do you believe I drink too much?
      • Yes.
        • I cannot believe you would ... ... I am sorry, [Player Name]. You are right. I am not very good at dealing with stress. Forgive me for lashing out. I am unaccustomed to people caring for my wellbeing. I will not drink today. Will you stay for a bit?
          • Of course.

Second Red heart[ | ]

Second Red Heart
The player can reach the second red heart by visiting the Administration Building after 8 pm when her relationship bar is full and the first red heart has been reached.

Dialogue:

I am so glad you could find some time for me tonight, [Player Name]. I just want to sit down and relax. Perhaps listen to some music. Do you enjoy listening to jazz?

  • I love jazz!
    • Something we have in common.
  • It's okay.
    • I shall take that as consent.
  • I dislike jazz.
    • You dislike jazz?! I suppose it cannot be helped. I shall acquiesce to your preference.

Soothing music playing, relaxing with my sweetheart... what could possibly make this night better? Maybe snuggling up on the couch?

  • Sounds lovely!
    • Splendid! Let me grab a blanket.
  • I'm not really a snuggler...
    • Come on, [Player Name]. Would you really deny me this? Just some innocent cuddling while we enjoy some music... For me?
      • Okay. For you.
        • Splendid! Let me grab a blanket.
      • I really don't want to.
        • Well, have it your way. I guess I will have to unwind alone. Goodnight, [Player Name]. — (The scene ends.)

Hmm. It looks like she fell asleep. What should I do?

  • Leave.
    • I can sneak out without waking her...
    • The screen dims, and it's now around 11 pm.
    • I should probably go to bed soon too. — (The scene ends.)
  • Stay until she wakes up. Zzzzz....
  • The screen dims, and it's now around 6 am.
    • [Player Name]! What time is it?! The sun is already rising! Did you stay here all night?
      • It looks that way.
        • You might be seen leaving! What will the colonists say?
      • I didn't want to wake you.
        • As sweet as that is, [Player Name]... Imagine what this will look like!
  • Let them talk.
    • You may be unconcerned with what they may think, but I have a reputation to uphold! This is a disaster.
      • I'll say I woke up early.
        • You will? So they will just think you decided to pay me a visit this morning? That just might work. [Player Name], you are as cunning as you are attractive! Now you had better get out of here and get an early start on your field. And... thank you.
      • You are human too...
        • I suppose what is done is done. It is not as if we just began our relationship. So what if my sweetheart stays late or drops by early? You are right, [Player Name]. At some point they must accept that I have emotions as well. But let us not tempt fate. Perhaps no one will notice you leaving.
  • Don't worry!
    • "Don't worry?!" How can I not worry?
  • I'll say I woke up early.
    • You will? So they will just think you decided to pay me a visit this morning? That just might work. [Player Name], you are as cunning as you are attractive! Now you had better get out of here and get an early start on your field. And... thank you.

Third Red heart[ | ]

Third Red Heart
The player can reach the third red heart by visiting the Administration Building between 11 am and 2 pm when her relationship bar is full and the second red heart has been reached. This event will determine if you'll married together, move in, stay a couple or break up.

Dialogue:

I have packed us a lovely picnic.

  • If you answered that you don't like chocolate (Unknown dialogue)
    • I know you do not share my love of chocolate, so I have packed some fruit for your dessert.
  • If you answered that you like chocolate (Unknown dialogue)
    • I made sure to include extra chocolate pudding.

I thought that a change of scenery would do us both some good.

  • If you answered her to forget it or don't want to cuddles with her (Unknown dialogue)
    • This way I cannot kick you out of my home. We would both have quite the lonely walk back to the colony.

We have been through quite a lot together, [Player Name]. I never dreamed that I would find someone like you here. You have seen me at my worst, and yet you have stayed by my side through it all. I do not often find myself at a loss for words. It seems to be a frequent occurrence when I am with you. ... [Player Name], would you be willing to make this partnership... permanent?

  • Let's have a commitment ceremony.
    • If that is what you wish, I would take the commitment vows with you. Is that what you desire?
      • I've never been more sure!
        • Very well, [Player Name]. Then we shall take the vows. I shall make the preparations. You may use my journal to schedule the ceremony.
      • On second thought... (Reload all the 4 choices.)
  • Would you like to move in together?
    • You wish to live together without a commitment ceremony?
      • Do you want a ceremony?
        • Not particularly. You know how I value privacy. I just assumed that you would want one.
          • Let's skip it.
          • I want one.
            • Very well, [Player Name]. Then we shall take the vows. I shall make the preparations. You may use my journal to schedule the ceremony.
      • Who needs a ceremony?
        • Wonderful. Are you certain you wish to move in together without a commitment ceremony?
          • I'm sure!
            • Then it shall be so. I shall prepare for your arrival. Move in tomorrow.
          • On second thought... (Reload all the 4 choices.)
  • I like things how they are.
    • As much as I enjoy our time together, I was hoping you might want to... settle down with me. Are you certain you wish to continue to date... indefinitely?
      • I'm sure!
        • Very well. I shall not ask again. If you change your mind you may let me know in my journal.
      • On second thought... (Reload all the 4 choices.)
  • I think we should just be friends.
    • [Player Name]. I did not anticipate this response. Do you really wish to break up with me?
      • I'm sorry, but yes.
        • I am... speechless. I cannot do this right now. — (The scene ends.)
      • On second thought... (Reload all the 4 choices.)

3D Printer[ | ]

Main article: 3D Printer

Once the player has built their home and slept in it, they can walk into the Administration Building to experience an argument about whether Jade accidentally creating a 3D Printer was user error or a malfunction on the part of the Administration Building's 3D Printer between Jade and Rosie Martínez. At the end of this conversation, Jade gives the player the 3D Printer she accidentally created. This event does not happen on Day 3, even if the player has already built their home and slept in it. The conversation is as follows:

Dialogue:
  • Rosie: Jade, I think you just pushed the wrong button.
  • Jade: Absolutely not!
  • Rosie: It's a machine. It can only make what you tell it to.
  • Jade: I think it is defective. We need another opinion. What do you think, colonist?
    • Uhh ... No comment.
      • Rosie: I guess it was unfair to ask Template:Player Name to take a side.
      • Jade: Apparently Template:Player Name knows how to play it safe.
    • User error!
      • Rosie: Ha! It's a case of user error! — (+ friendship.)
      • Jade: Colonist! You think I could make such a simple mistake? — (- friendship.)
    • Obviously a malfunction!
      • Jade: See, Rosie? Defective equipment. Please take a look at it. — (+ friendship.)
      • Rosie: ¡Dios mío! You’re blaming the machine ? Fine … I’ll check it out. — (- friendship.)
  • Jade: I have no use for another printer. Is it possible to convert it back into scrap?
  • Rosie: No. Once you've crafted something, it's permanent. You'll need to get new resources.
  • Jade: Now I will need to requisition more materials ... Looks like it is your lucky day, colonist. I am feeling generous. I will not even charge you for this.

Security[ | ]

Once the player has completed Miles Kelly's Survey the cave for gems and Come talk to me jobs, the player will eventually walk into the Administration Building to overhear a conversation that Jade is having, presumably with her brother Anthony.

Dialogue:
  • I understand. Please know I do not make the offer out of pity. I do not wish to see you again. Forgive me, I must be going. I hope that you reconsider.
  • I swear, colonist! Must you always barge in unannounced? How long have you been eavesdropping?
    • I'm sorry. Are you okay?
      • I ... Will be fine. I was just attending to some personal business.
    • Why do you always yell at me?
      • I really do not have the patience for this discussion now, [Player Name]. I have much more to worry about than your feelings.
  • I believe we are at the point where we need to try recruiting paying colonists. In order to do that, we need some sort of security personnel to guarantee their safety. I thought it a mere formality until Miles told me about his encounter in the cave. Have you had any similar experiences?
    • Yes!
      • I thought Miles was overreacting to some harmless wildlife! I suppose we do need some security!
    • No.
      • I was hoping you could corroborate the threat. Regardless, we will need some security.
  • I have been negotiating with my brother in hopes that he might fill that role. He is ... Less than enthusiastic. I suppose he will just need some time to sort things out. Speaking of time, do you not have something you should be doing? Those fields will not work themselves!

The next time the player sleeps, they will wake up to a conversation between Jade and Anthony, and Jade will knock on their door to introduce them to him.

Prestigious Scholarship[ | ]

Once the player has gotten married and have a child with they chosen partner, the player will eventually walk into the Administration Building to be greeted by Jade and her brother Anthony to congrats you on the great news.

    • Jade: "Of course, I have already congratulated you on your child. An excellent opportunity has arisen."
  • "A prestigious offworld boarding school has offered a scholar ship to a child from our planet."
  • "And since only one child can be sent, think very carefully if and when they are sent to boarding school."
  • "This is a big decision, [Player], I know you might be nervous to see your child grow up."
  • Anthony: "Jade already told me all about it. But you don't have to lose contact when they're at boarding school. You will still get the chance to see them grow up. "
  • Jade: "Our current communication equipment is insufficient for you to contact them at school.
  • Anthony: "Which is why you gotta do some upgradin', [Player]. I'm gonna work on getting you some blueprints "
  • "Stop by my place later."
  • Jade: "Also, the scholarship does require that your child is sleeping through the night and 10 days of age."
  • Anthony: Ya, they really start em young.Template:End

Dialogue:
  • Good work, colonist. I am pleased that you are taking your responsibilities seriously.
  • Remember, these three resources are essential to everything you will construct. — The relationship bar fills slightly.
  • Do not get complacent. I have plenty more requisitions for you to fill.
