Tools help you do things in the world. The player received them after you met Jade. They don't take place in your backpack and they are cataloged in the Progress Journal. == Upgrades & Proficiency == You can upgrade your tools after you bought the blueprint on the Blueprint Machine. You have to upgrad it on the Woodworking Workbench or build it the 3d Printer, in exchange for materials, with upgrades taking few hours. Tools don't need to be upgraded in ascending order. Proficiency refers to the amount of energy and time required to use a specific tool. At basic level, Pickaxe, Axe, Hammer, Watering Tank and Hoe uses x energy and time. While the Fishing Spear, the Animal Sampler and the Insect Jar never uses energy or time. Upgrading them will decrease the amount of energy and time required to use it. {| | === Affected Tools === Farming * Hoe * Watering Tank Foraging * Axe Mining * Pickaxe * Hammer | | === Unaffected Tools === The following tools do not consume energy: * Fishing Spear * Animal Genome Sampler * Jar Insect |} == Hoes == Used to till soil for Farming. To water crops, you have to build a Watering Tank and place it near the fields. A crop plant does not grow on a day it is not watered. If it is raining, the rain waters all crops without use of the watering tank. Upgraded watering tank may be used to water farther with less energy and time.
